London and New York, May 15, 2019 – Electric vehicles, or EVs, are on track to dominate global sales of passenger cars and buses by 2040, and to encroach significantly on the market for vans and short-distance trucking, according to the latest forecast from research firm BloombergNEF (BNEF).

According to Shrink That Footprint, the carbon emissions of grid-powered electric vehicles are strongly influenced by the energy mix prevalent in the country where the vehicles are operated. In countries where coal is the predominant form of energy generation, carbon emissions are four times higher than in countries with low-carbon electricity.

Electric vehicles (EV) market has experienced a boom and saw numerous developments last year from large manufacturers like Tesla, Ford and Porsche. Some see such rapid development as wonderful, as electric vehicles remove dirty fossil-fuelled cars from roads, but not all stand to such opinion. EVs are not the perfect solutions but they offer a more sustainable pathway to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by combining greater deployment of renewables and decarbonisation of the electricity grid.

Love bombing in the workplace involves managers lavishing excessive attention, praise and rewards on employees to create a sense of loyalty and commitment. It can be used as a manipulation tool by employers to attract, retain, control and exploit workers. Interestingly, religious cults also use the term to get new recruits to join them. Although it sounds sweet, love bombing can negatively affect workers and the company.
